How your support delivered lifesaving aid in Gaza during 2024-2025
Every year, we publish our In Action Report to show how your continued support is transforming lives in Gaza. Behind every figure, distribution, and programme is a simple truth: your generosity is helping families in Gaza survive an extraordinary humanitarian crisis.
Throughout 2024 and 2025, IF Charity worked with partners on the ground to deliver essential relief to communities facing severe shortages of food, clean water, medical support, and safe shelter. Despite extremely challenging conditions, your donations enabled life-saving aid to reach thousands of vulnerable people.
This report reflects not only the scale of need in Gaza, but also the powerful impact of collective compassion. Download the full report here, or see the summary below.
Delivering essential food and nutrition
For many families in Gaza, access to food has become one of the most urgent daily challenges. Markets are limited, supply chains are disrupted, and many households have lost their regular sources of income.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, IF Charity was able to deliver a wide range of food support programmes, including:
- Hot meal distributions for displaced families
- Emergency food parcels containing staple ingredients
- Fresh bread distributions through local bakeries
- Milk distributions to support children and elderly residents
- Community kitchens preparing freshly cooked meals
These programmes ensured that families could access nourishing food during times when basic meals were often out of reach.
For children, the elderly, and those living in temporary shelters, these meals provided both physical nourishment and reassurance that they had not been forgotten.
Supporting children and families
Children are among the most vulnerable members of any community experiencing hardship. Throughout the year, IF Charity prioritised support for children and their caregivers through targeted programmes designed to protect health, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key initiatives included:
- Distribution of nappies and baby supplies for infants
- Child sponsorship payments to support essential family needs
- Hampers and gifts for injured children receiving medical care
- Clothing distributions to keep children warm during winter
Beyond offering practical assistance, these programmes helped restore moments of normality and comfort for children facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
Restoring access to clean water
Clean water is essential for survival, yet it has become increasingly scarce for many communities in Gaza. Damage to water infrastructure and limited access to treatment facilities have made it difficult to obtain safe drinking water.
To address this urgent need, IF Charity helped restore a desalination unit serving an orphanage and the surrounding neighbourhood. The repaired system now provides safe drinking water to over 1,000 people each day.
In addition, tanker-delivered water helped hundreds of families across the Gaza Stripe access clean water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene.
For vulnerable communities, these interventions have played a vital role in protecting public health and preventing waterborne illness.
Helping children continue learning
Education is one of the most powerful tools for rebuilding hope and stability. Even during times of crisis, maintaining access to learning helps children regain a sense of structure and purpose.
Through the Education Reborn initiative, IF Charity supported temporary learning spaces by providing:
- Stationery and learning materials
- Support for teachers continuing to deliver lessons
- Repairs to water and sanitation facilities at schools
These efforts help ensure that children can continue their education and maintain a connection to their future.
Empowering families with dignity
In addition to traditional aid distributions, we introduced a food voucher programme during the year. Instead of receiving pre-packed parcels, families could redeem vouchers at local shops.
This approach allowed families to choose the items they needed most, whether food, baby supplies, or household essentials.
The result was a faster, more flexible form of aid that also supported local shopkeepers and small businesses.
Most importantly, it helped restore a sense of dignity and independence for families receiving support.
A year made possible by your generosity
None of these programmes would be possible without the compassion of donors who continue to stand with the people of Gaza.
Your support during 2024 and 2025 helped deliver:
- Food assistance to thousands of displaced families
- Hygiene supplies to protect children’s health
- Clean water for vulnerable communities
- Education support for displaced students
- Winter clothing and essential relief items
Every contribution played a role in sustaining lives and strengthening resilience during a time of immense hardship.
The humanitarian needs in Gaza remain urgent. Families continue to rely on the generosity of donors to access food, clean water, medical support, and essential supplies.
By supporting IF Charity today, you can help deliver lifesaving aid to those who need it most. See how you can help Gaza.
