Distributing bread to families across Gaza
In Gaza, bread is more than a staple – it’s a symbol of survival.
Yet, after months of blockade and repeated strikes on civilian infrastructure such as bakeries and grain warehouses, access to even this most basic food item had become nearly impossible. Earlier this month, IF Charity staff in Gaza baked and distributed bread to hundreds living in temporary shelters and displacement camps across the Gaza Strip.
Even with aid corridors open (though limited), shortages are severe: flour supplies are less than what’s needed, oven fuel is scarce, and since the attacks began, prices have soared beyond the reach of ordinary households. Many bakeries have been destroyed, forcing almost all families in Gaza to rely entirely on humanitarian aid.
Through your continued support, we were able to provide fresh bread to hundreds of families in need, helping restore nourishment and dignity in a time of despair.
As Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens – with nearly all residents now facing some level of acute food insecurity – our bread distributions bring both sustenance and reassurance that Gaza’s people are not forgotten.
