The Gift of Eid: 3 Ways Your Support Made a Difference in Gaza
A Shadowed Celebration
As Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha on May 2026, families across Gaza continued to endure severe displacement, immense structural destruction, and profound uncertainty. For the third consecutive year, the traditional joy of the holiday was compromised by an ongoing humanitarian crisis, a severe cash shortage, and exorbitant market prices that leave basic necessities like meat, flour, and clothing entirely out of reach for most households. Relatives remain forcibly separated across scattered refugee camps and crowded temporary shelters, struggling to rebuild a sense of home “from pieces of fear and cloth” while navigating a deeply fractured economy.
Meeting Crucial Daily Needs and Restoring Infrastructure
In response to these devastating conditions, IF Charity worked to provide immediate relief. By packaging and delivering fresh vegetable baskets directly to displaced families, the charity is addressed severe nutritional gaps.
Delivering Nourishment Through the Qurbani Campaign 2026
The severe lack of protein and soaring livestock prices mean that traditional festive meals were an impossible luxury for many families in the Gaza Strip. To bridge this gap during the blessed days, IF Charity launched its Qurbani Campaign 2026, successfully distributing frozen meat packages to displaced and vulnerable households with the utmost care and dignity. This ongoing initiative ensures that families who have faced prolonged periods of food insecurity can finally access wholesome, nutritious meals during the holiday period.
Restoring Hope, Dignity, and Joy for Gaza’s Children
Beyond immediate food security, reversing the deep toll on the younger generation remained a core priority of the ongoing humanitarian response. IF Charity distributed comprehensive Eid Al-Adha packages filled with new clothes, financial aid, and toys to bring light to children living in temporary shelters. From hosting educational activities about Hajj rituals alongside a nourishing breakfast at local kindergartens to organizing an Eid community fun day packed with games and entertainment, these efforts aimed to restore smiles, create happy memories, and strengthen collective resilience during an unprecedented emergency.
