In Action 2023–24: A year of unwavering support for Gaza

As Gaza continues to face one of the gravest humanitarian crises in recent history, IF Charity has remained a lifeline for thousands of families. Our newly released Annual Report 2023–24 documents a year marked by immense challenge, urgent response, and the power of your generosity.

Despite the war, displacement, and the collapse of critical infrastructure, your support enabled us to deliver vital aid when it was needed most. Read the full report here.

Some key highlights from the report:

Emergency relief amid crisis
In the aftermath of mass displacement and destruction across Gaza, especially since October 2023, IF Charity responded with life-saving food, water, medical aid and power solutions. From distributing food parcels in Khan Younis to delivering clean water in Deir Al-Balah and installing solar panels in the north, your donations reached those most affected.

Lifeline for over 16,765 people during Ramadan 2024
Thanks to your support, we provided almost 2,500 food packs and over a thousand vegetable baskets to families across Gaza during Ramadan. This ensured over 16,765 individuals had something to eat during the sacred month – a critical intervention in a time of soaring food prices and hunger.

Expanding Gaza’s healthcare services
With Gaza’s health system on the brink, we delivered essential medical equipment, including X-ray machines, anaesthesia devices, and life-saving medication. Over £77,000 was dedicated to medical aid in 2023 alone, providing critical support for hospitals and makeshift clinics.

Financial and community support
We distributed financial aid to nearly 2,400 children and their families, helping them access food and essential items. We also invested over £350,000 into capacity building and job creation, sowing the seeds of long-term recovery.

Reaffirming our commitment
In the face of relentless hardship, our field teams, trustees and volunteers worked tirelessly. Even when communication broke down during periods of intense conflict, we adapted to ensure aid continued to flow into Gaza’s shelters and tents.
