Other ways to Get Involved
There are many ways to Get Involved with the work of iF Charity – from making a Donation, Volunteering or Fundraising for us.
But if those don’t suit you, here are a few other ways to support our vital work in Palestine.
Include a Gift in your Will
When you leave us a gift in your will, we make a promise to deliver lasting solutions using your gift, not short-term fixes.
You can leave us three types of gifts in your will:
- A share of your estate
- A specific sum
- A specific item
Under current UK tax rules, if you leave a gift to iF Charity in your will, it will not be included when valuing your estate for Inheritance Tax purposes. The value of your gift will be deducted from your estate before Inheritance Tax is applied.
When creating your will, a solicitor can help ensure that your will is valid and that your wishes will be met. However, you can choose to use a will writer or online will provider.
If you are interested in leaving us a gift in your will, please get in touch with us.
Use Gift Aid to increase your donation
Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of your gift to iF Charity – at no extra cost to you.
If you pay tax in the UK, iF Charity can reclaim the basic rate tax (25%) on your gift. So, if you donate £100, it is worth £125 to us.
In order for us to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donations, you must have paid income or capital gains tax (in the UK) for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) at least equal to the tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
The process is simple – all you have to do is make a Gift Aid declaration. If you are donating online, just tick the Gift Aid box on the donation form. Alternatively, contact us if you donated to us some other way.
