Act NOW to protect Palestinian lives
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a global pandemic as coronavirus rapidly spreads across the world. As the virus takes a firmer hold across the Middle East, there are growing concerns over the catastrophic impact a major outbreak will have in refugee camps across the region.
We recognise the courageous efforts of nurses and health workers in the besieged Gaza Strip, where hospitals and health clinics are severely overwhelmed and lacking vital medicines and equipment. The coronavirus outbreak will have a devastating impact on the lives of our beneficiaries who will be disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
iF is responding to the needs set out by its field staff as they build plans to protect vulnerable families.
Our teams are supplying hygiene kits to families across refugee camps, which they can use to help stop the spread of infection. Each family hygiene kit contains:
- Hand sanitiser
- Face mask
- Rubbing alcohol
- Household bleach
